Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 26, 2026

Nuage is designed to support emotional wellbeing, reflection, and self-awareness.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when using Nuage.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

  • account information such as email address, display name, and authentication data;
  • onboarding responses and preferences;
  • journal entries, voice reflections, emotional check-ins, and notes you choose to create;
  • calendar and planning information you create in the app;
  • support requests and communication records;
  • information from connected third-party services you choose to authorize.

We may also collect technical and usage information such as device type, app interactions, and basic diagnostics.

How We Protect Sensitive Content

  • Journal text fields are encrypted before storage.
  • Voice reflection audio is encrypted before storage.
  • Access to protected content requires authenticated requests.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to reduce risk.

AI Features and Nuage Coach

Nuage Coach is an AI-assisted in-app feature guide.

  • Coach processes what you type in chat and selected onboarding context used for personalization.
  • Coach does not automatically read your private journal entries or voice recordings.
  • Nuage is not a therapy, diagnostic, crisis, or emergency intervention service.

AI outputs can be imperfect and are intended for informational and self-support purposes only.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve Nuage, including to:

  • provide app features and account functionality;
  • personalize your in-app experience;
  • protect platform security and prevent misuse;
  • communicate service updates;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Connected Services

If you connect third-party services (for example calendar or wellness platforms), Nuage accesses only the data needed for the connected feature you enable.

Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell personal information.

We use service providers to run Nuage. Depending on your feature usage, providers may include:

  • Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage);
  • Stripe (billing and subscription checkout);
  • Together AI (Nuage Coach processing);
  • infrastructure and storage services used to operate app assets.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect safety, rights, and service integrity.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

When accounts are deleted or data deletion is requested, we delete or anonymize data where required and technically feasible, subject to legal and operational obligations.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing.

You can submit requests through support.

Important Notice

Nuage does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or emergency intervention.

If you may be in danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource immediately.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after updates become effective indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
